Kalk Bay
Kalk Bay is one of our favourite places to visit, with a great range of restaurants and shops to keep us entertained - even when the weather is bad. In fact, Kalk Bay seems even prettier when the weather is wild. We like to book accommodation in town, so that we can enjoy our sightseeing in the small town centre on foot, without the hassle of finding parking or worrying about driving after a dinner with wine. A very atmospheric and picturesque place to visit any time of year, and close to many other beauty spots. I haven't tried it yet, but one day I would like to visit from Cape Town using the train, which conveniently stops just outside the lovely Brass Bell!

Plattekloof
Plattekloof and Panorama should change names. This guest house and places like De Grendel have some of the best panoramic views that you can find in the world. What could be more idyllic than a good glass of wine, the city of Cape Town, the iconic Table Mountain, the blue flag Boubergstrand and the historical Robben Island, all in one view!

Hout Bay
For a visit to the Western Cape, Houtbay is a good location. A very beautiful area.

Mouille Point
I absolutely love Mouille Point. I would love to own an apartment there

Cape Town Accommodation

Cape Town accommodation is sought-after across the globe, and situated at the southern tip of Africa is considered one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. While travelling along the Cape’s Coastline one can take in many different sites such as the Naval Base in Simonstown or the Boulders Beach penguin sanctuary just beyond. Keep moving south and you will eventually find yourself at the gates to the Cape Point nature reserve which is home to a range of local flora and fauna and allows access to more pristine beaches surrounded by untouched wilderness.

Apart from the wondrous natural surroundings Cape Town finds itself amongst, the city bowl itself offers a diverse cultural feast of shops, night clubs, bars and a range of superb restaurants. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is host to the cream of consumer pleasures and is comprised of some of the top hotels, shops, restaurants and entertainment venues available to the discerning traveller; the V&A Waterfront should be explored thoroughly and at leisure. A great and informative way to explore a large amount of Cape Town and surrounds is via the open top tour buses which travel from the city centre and continue around the coastline accompanied by an informative and entertaining tour guide.

Cape Town, whilst known for catering to celebrities and the super-rich, is also an ideal destination for the budget conscious traveller as accommodation can be found to suit any pocket and the beauty of nature is free to enjoy.

The Cape is a must visit destination for anyone no matter how young, old or wealthy and there is something for everyone. Come and enjoy Cape Town, meet the people, sample and experience the culture and get lost in the sheer vastness of the natural wilderness that surrounds it on all sides.
