At the Zoo Guest House

Situated in 'The Parks' of Johannesburg the Guest House is in a central yet very peaceful area of Johannesburg. Parkview is part of the Greater Rosebank Region and the Guest House is just around the corner from the Johannesburg Zoo and the famous Orient Express Westcliff Hotel. The streets are lined with Jacaranda Trees and the bird life is exceptional.

At the Zoo Guest House offers executive en-suite rooms in the Main House as well as self-contained units in the Cottage. Secure parking is available on the Guest House grounds. Parkview shopping centre is within easy walking distance and only a short driving distance away are numerous shopping centres with excellent restaurants, shops and cinemas.

Main House
The executive en-suite rooms are individually decorated and furnished with either king size beds or two single beds and have casual seating as well as work areas. All rooms have television, heating, fans, bar fridges, tea/coffee trays as well as safety deposit boxes. All bathrooms have bath as well as shower, underfloor heating, heated towel rail, hairdryer and gowns.

Continental as well as English Breakfasts are served in the Guest Lounge which opens to the terrace and swimming pool.

The Cottage
The Cottage has two self-contained units. 'The Suite' has a double bedroom with queen-size bed, bathroom with corner shower and underfloor heating, open-plan lounge with dining table and kitchen. The Studio' has a bedroom with two single beds, bathroom with bath and kitchenette. Both units are air-conditioned and have satellite decoders. These units are available on a bed and breakfast basis or for a minimum stay of 1 week self-catering. An outside area with garden table and chairs and barbeque facilities is also available. The Cottage overlooks the swimming pool and has direct access to the Main House.

Directions from Johannesburg International Airport (JIA) to 'At the Zoo' Guest House

From JIA follow the R24 (N3) to Johannesburg (Jhb)
Highway splits into three. Keep to the left and follow the N3 N12 (N3) Jhb sign
Pass Van Buuren off ramp
Follow M2 to Johannesburg
Highway splits again into M1 Sandton/Pretoria, M1 Bloemfontein and M2 Roodepoort – follow M1 Sandton/Pretoria
Pass Smit Street off ramp and Empire Road off ramp - Keep left
Take Jan Smuts Avenue off ramp on left
Follow Jan Smuts Avenue until you see the sign to 'the zoo' on your right hand side.
Turn left at next traffic light into Westcliff Drive.
Stay left on Westcliff Drive over traffic circle
Then turn right into Armagh Road
Turn left into Kilkenny Road and find the Guest House (No.83) on your right hand side.
