Dave and Judy Smith are the proud owners of this farm and homestead. The farm produces export quality citrus. As your hosts they love to welcome you as guests, making your stay in the accommodation a pleasant one. The farm is Avoca, which means "The meeting of the waters ".
Self-catering Accommodation is in The Riverside Chalets & Huts. They look out over the Sundays River where there are opportunities for sundowners and bird watching. Guests can go fishing and swimming.
Situated amongst the roses in the valley known for elephants! Our River Cabins are in tranquil surroundings along the Sundays River on a working Citrus Farm. The closest city is Port Elizabeth. The towns of Addo and Kirkwood allow guests to do shopping. The Addo Elephant Park is a 22km drive from the farm.
One of our cottages is the well known Tree Tops Cottage. This comfortable self-catering accommodation is a wood and thatch cottage with two en-suite bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom doors lead out onto the deck – no inter-leading doors. It is situated among the Blue gum trees that are on the farm! The access is easy and one is only 20m from the swimming pool, jungle gym and trampoline.
Self-catering accommodation is serviced by arrangement only.
The Orchard room is our small conference and function facility. It has a small hall, balcony and breakfast area. The meeting hall can seat from 5 or 6 people upto about 60 people. It has a big screen where guests may sit and watch special sports events being shown on tv. It is well suited for small dinner/ supper functions.
In the local or traditional style there are 4 Ethnic Mud Huts that sleep two adults. Provision is made for a small child. The huts share toilet and shower facilities and also have a communal kitchen and braai (barbecue) area. They are close to the river where we have canoes for our guests to use. Fishing is excellent.
