Bird Cottage is a self catering cottage in large, organic garden in Claremont. The accommodation is quiet and nurturing. It is within walking distance of the cricket and rugby grounds, leading schools, Cavendish Square shopping metropolis and Claremont CBD. Very close to major clinics and hospitals, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and easy access to the City Centre, the Waterfront and the False Bay beaches.

The newly renovated cottage accommodation comprises a large bedroom, with either king-size or twin beds. Easy chairs and a cafe table and chairs for a desk or to eat meals indoors. There is a full bathroom ensuite with bath and large pebbled shower and a small well equipped kitchenette with Mini oven and Microwave off the main room.
The bed and bath linen is luxurious and changed regularly. There are plenty of candles and bubble bath. The cottage is serviced daily during the week and personal laundry is done at no extra cost.
Groceries can be bought on request ahead of arrival or during your stay.
There is an outdoor courtyard with teak table and chairs and a mountain view. There is a large pool also with panoramic mountain views and a chance to relax on loungers and catch your breath. Pool towels supplied. Plenty of birds, squirrels and butterflies share the organic garden. The cottage has its own entrance with secure direct access, off street parking and remote operated gate.
Also available are picnic baskets, hairdryer, fan, heater, iron and ironing board, safe DSTV.

Extra care can be provided for those needing a place to recover after surgery. You will experience a balance of privacy and care totally adapted to your specific requirements. Nursing, lifts to medical appointments, grocery shopping, meals to your specific reference and 24 hour care at the touch of a bell can all be arranged.

Directions
The drive from Cape Town International airport to Bird Cottage should take about 15 minutes:

Take the N2 towards Cape Town. After approximately 12 km, take the M3 left towards Muizenberg and Kirstenbosch. With Table Mountain on your right, continue past the university. Continue through one set of traffic lights (signpost right to Kirstenbosch) stay in the left lane and just after your second set of traffic lights and the Shell Petrol Station, exit the M3 towards Claremont. Turn first right into Angelina avenue and bear left at the stop sign. Then turn first right into Isabel Avenue and Bird Cottage is the second house on the left with a huge terracotta pot by the gate and it is clearly numbered 3.

It is approximately 15 minutes drive outside of peak traffic times.
