Nestled on the crest of the rolling hills over looking the lush garden suburb of La Lucia and the warm Indian Ocean, Blue Dolphin Ridge provides secure and secluded accommodation for both business and leisure travellers.

Recently built onto the established home of Mike and Denise Munz, the facility incorporates 5 en suite bedrooms for the B&B, from which two independent self-catering executive apartments with sea views can accommodate up to 4 and 6 persons, respectively.

The style and layout of the B&B is both professional and warm, with a range of facilities that are a necessity for anyone away from home. Our double rooms provide a suitable place for one to unwind and settle down, with creature comforts like air-conditioning and full bathrooms as standard.

Both business travellers and holidaymakers alike will find Blue Dolphin Ridge suitable for long stays, especially when seeking privacy, security and pleasant surroundings. Rooms are serviced at regular intervals based on the guest's needs and space is provided for work to be conducted from the apartments.

Our moderate conference facility has capacity for between 10 and 14 delegates, and relevant audio-visual equipment is available.

Leisure travellers need not feel left out. The superb views from rooms and the communal terrace provide guests with lovely morning light as the sun rises over the eastern Indian Ocean. Rooms for B&B guests are serviced daily with a full continental breakfast on offer. For those families travelling to our beautiful city, there exists family-style self catering apartments with capacity for 2, 4 or 6 occupants.

Blue Dolphin Ridge is located a short drive from major beaches, shopping centres such as La Lucia Mall and Gateway, major banks and bureau de change, Umhlanga CBD & town centre and Durban North CBD. We are within a 20 minute drive of the Durban city centre, including the Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, the Port of Durban and the new King Shaka International Airport at La Mercy (although the current airport, Durban International, is some 30 minutes by freeway).

Directions
Heading North on the N2 � Take the M 41 off ramp (Umhlanga / Mount Edgecombe). Turn right (over the freeway) and continue for about 1 km passing Gateway shopping centre on the left.
Take the M12 (Umhlanga Rocks Drive) off ramp and turn right over the M12 along Umhlanga Rocks Drive through the Business Park, along La Lucia Ridge for about 3 km. You pass Sunningdale on the right and then a Engen garage on the right ,then after 50 meters on the left up the rise you will see Addison Drive on the left, then after 500 meters take the left turn (facing the sea) into Ashley drive. You will then have a simply Fish restaurant on your left, a Wimpy and a garage on your right. Proceed for 50 meters down Ashley and turn first left into Lydia.

Alternative route from the City Centre. Take Stanger street/Stalwart Simelane Street(through town), cross over Smith & West street ( past the ICC ) this road becomes the Northern Freeway/M4 after about 2 km to Umhlanga.
Travel for 9km until you get to the Virginia off ramp, take the off ramp and turn left on to a traffic circle. Take the 3rd left off the circle (12 o clock) into Hinton Place and right into Margret Maytom ,travel up the hill for 500 meters to another circle (2nd left into Maryland) then travel up Maryland for 500 meter, the road forks, keep to the right and continue up Maryland for 100 meters.
This brings you to Ashley Avenue. Turn right into Ashley and then straight into Lydia Drive.(Forth house on the right)
