Boekenhout Getaway

The camp is nestled in the shadow of the Bobbejaansberg mountain on the banks of the Boekenhout spruit. It forms part of a 1200 hectares conservancy, teaming with plains game and is ideal for game drives, walking, trail running and mountain biking. Game in the conservancy: Impala, Red Hartebeest, Waterbuck, Blue Wildebeest, Kudu, Blesbuck, Zebra, Giraffe, Grey Duiker. Predators: Caracal, Civet, Brown Hyena, Jackal and Leopard. There are also warthog, porcupine, hedgehog and a variety of bird species

The camp overlooks a wetland with its amazing bird life and is in a valley and adjacent to the Dinokeng Big Five Game Reserve.

Our rates are for accommodation only. Rooms are en-suite and luxurious and consists of a bar fridge and coffee station, while the entertainment area is set in manicured gardens overlooking a sparkling pool. The braai\kitchen area is communal and is semi self catering.

Directions
Take the N1 towards Polokwane, turn off at the Zambezi off ramp. Go through the Toll Gate, turn right at the robot onto Zambezi Drive (towards Cullinan). Go under the highway and turn left at the second set of traffic lights into R573 (KwaMhlanga Road). Proceed along R573 for 27 km. Turn left onto Hammanskraal dirt road. Continue on this road for 4.5 Km. The road splits, take the right hand split toward a red gate. When at the red gate please phone for the code Once through the red gate continue straight until the road splits again, take the left split. From the red gate drive 3.5 km to reach the entrance of Nr 17 Boekenhout River Lodge on your left hand side Enter and follow the road along the electric fence and the lodge is on the left hand side before crossing the river
