Set in the aquamarine seas on the northern peninsula of the Bay of Inhambane, this lodge is something special. It is a two-storied low slung building right on the beach and you can walk down the garden path to the water

Local woods have been used to good effect in the interior, warm and welcoming around the bar and staircase that lead to a relaxing lounge and further bedrooms.

A huge dining room table is set inside for formal dining and another is set on the veranda for light meals with a breathtaking view of the bay. Private dining is set up on the beach, with the water gently lapping at your feet.

Directions
Direct flights from Johannesburg 5 days a week through LAM, Travel Max or Pelican Air.

Alternatively, Inhambane is 500km north of Maputo and the drive is roughly 6 hours.

Castelo do Mar is then a further 20 minute boat trip from Inhambane.
