Situated a few kilometres outside the town of Vilanculos on the Central Mozambique coastline, the lodge lies ready to welcome from one to eleven guests in each of our two comfortably appointed, four bedroom villas.

Chigamane Beach Villas are ten steps away from an endless unspoilt beach: enjoy walking for miles on the undeveloped Indian ocean coastline, resting under the palms, or quietly enjoying the varying delights of the dramatically changing tides. For boating enthusiasts, there is a launch area a stone’s throw from the property.

The Chigamane villas at Vilanculos are situated close enough to one another if you want to enjoy a holiday with a large group of people, yet distant enough to ensure privacy when you need it. Each Villa comes fully equipped and extras include washing machines, ice makers and DSTV.

The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom, walk in wardrobes and air conditioning. It is large enough to take a camp cot if necessary – this can be arranged by special request.

The second and third bedrooms have built in cupboards and ceiling fans and share a bathroom

Directions
Vilanculos is 750km north of Maputo and Chigamane Beach Villas lie approximately 128 kms north of the town, on a beach road only accessible by 4 x 4 vehicles.


There are several roads to Vilanculos: the least challenging is to enter the country from Swaziland, or from South Africa either through Kwa Zulu Natal, or through the most popular border post Komatipoort. There are few, if any, options in routes. Most travellers wanting to go north will head towards Maputo, then follow the EN1 north to Vilanculos, via Xai Xai and Inhambane.

Another interesting route is to go through Chipinga in Zimbabwe then travel the 200km dirt road and join the EN1 not far from Save river.
