China Toad is situated on the border of Tokai forest. Tranquility, birdsong and squirrels abound. Within 6km of 5 world renowned wine farms on the Constantia Wine Route. Hiking trails are plentiful with the start of Elephants Eye as well as Elsies Peak and Muizenberg Cave all within a few minutes drive. Mountain biking trail from the Arboretum within cycling distance. Muizenberg beach is around the corner and the world famous fishing village of Kalk Bay with the colourful unique flavour of the Cape is 10 minutes away. There are two golf courses nearby - Steenberg within 2km and Westlake a further 2km. The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is within 20 minutes drive and Clifton and Camps Bay are a further 10 minutes away.

China Toad allows you the freedom of catering for yourself with an equipped kitchenette (microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery etc). Sleeping accommodation is for four maximum with a double bed in the bedroom and double sleeper couch in the lounge/kitchenette area. The bathroom has a bath, shower, wash basin and toilet - bathroom towels are included. There is a private courtyard off the lounge - an ideal spot for breakfast and catching up on e-mails if necessary. Secure parking behind electronic gate and an alarm system is installed to ensure optimal security.

ADSL and DSTV are available on request. Access to pool, patio and braai area is by arrangement.
Guided motorcycle tours of the Peninsula and Western Cape are also available by arrangement. Bikers welcome!

Directions
From the airport take the N2 towards Cape Town and then left onto M3 towards Muizenberg. Take Tokai/Retreat off-ramp and at traffic lights turn right towards the mountain - after going underneath the M3 take the 2nd road right - Lismore Avenue, then left into Dalmore Avenue (at bend), immediately right into Dennendal Avenue and then left into Hawthorne Close - China Toad is part of No. 8 Hawthorne on right.
