Come to Fire Thorn Cottage to find peace and tranquility at this tastefully decorated 4 bedroom (Max 8 Guests) cottage overlooking the Lake.
Situated halfway between White River and Hazyview (20 Km) on the R40 you will find us, ideally positioned to visit all the beautiful places on the Panorama Route, The Kruger Park and Various well known Golf courses. Not to forget a quick stroll to the lake for bass fishing.
Sycamore Cottage is situated on the Hazy River Lakeview Estate and forms part of the Hazy River Reserve which also houses the well known Hulala Lakeside Lodge.
Hazy River Reserve is secured with electric fencing on the boundaries and has 24 hour security guards. At night internal patrols are added.

The main bedroom with own TV ( Queen size bed) is en-suite with a bath and separate shower. The second bedroom with own TV and DVD player( 2 x 3/4 beds) is also en-suite. Both rooms have glass doors leading onto the patio giving the rooms a great view. The third smaller bedroom has two 3/4 beds. There is also an outside room with 2x 3/4 beds and its own bathroom.
There is an open fireplace in the lounge, DSTV, a built-in braai and a private splash pool and pool table on the deck.
The modern, well equipped kitchen has a large Fridge/Deepfreeze, a washing machine and a Dishwasher.
Daily Cleaning staff and Child Care Takers on request. (Rates for these and other services offered by the hotel are extra).

We highly recommend this place to all Fishermen (novice as well as experienced), who would like to combine fishing with all the other activities in the Lowveld.

There are numerous walks that have been signposted for those that love to walk and bird watch.

You will have the right to all Hulala Lakeside Lodge (all part of the same large wildlife Reserve), facilities including its fleet of two-man canoes; peddle boats, rowing boats, bass boats (for hire) for the anglers, and the ever favourite "Sundowner Cruise." You can also enjoy meals or visit the well known “Rock Pub”.

Well known golf courses in the area include: Nelspruit Golf course, White River country estate, Sabi Sun and Kruger Park Lodge.
Motorised sport and angling at Klipkoppie dam is only 5 min away.
The Kruger National Park is 20 min away.
Bourke’s luck Potholes, Pilgrims Rest, Mac-Mac Falls and Sabie are all with in close driving distances.

Directions
From Johannesburg - take the R22 Benoni/Brakpan, which then joins the N12

This joins the N4 from Pretoria/Witbank to Middleburg.

Continue with the N4 past Machadadorp, Watervalboven to Nelspruit.

At Nelspruit at the third traffic lights, turn left on the R40 to White River.

Pass through White River keeping to the R40 towards Hazyview.

Hulala Lakeside Lodge is approximately 22kms from White River.

At the second turnoff to the houses turn left. We are Unit L16.
