The place itself is beautiful. The facilities sub standard but have potential. The cupboards were not clean on the inside. The stove was not functional and a two plate gas stove was placed on top of the electric stove. There were no glass bowls in the kitchen and only 1 pot. The equipment on the inventory lists are not present in the kitchen. I had to go and look for the lady who was suppose to check and clean the unit and insisted on at least some of the equipment which she later brought some of.
The unit is not suitable for 6 adults and 1 child. (minor). There was no provision for the child as promised. My husband called the guy who was assisting with the luggage and he brought us a mattress full of dog hair which I sent back. He then brought another one which was so much damaged we just left it on the verandah because nobody can be expected to sleep on it. We had to make a plan ourselves to accommodate the child. The aforementioned was the condition in which the facility was after I talked to the owner herself about three days before arrival. I expected that she could make sure that the kitchen was stocked with all equipment and that provision was made for the child.
I specifically asked her about the stove, and she confirmed that their is an electrical stove with an oven. We took fresh croissants which we could not baked.
The outlay of the workers unit close to the swimming pool at the back and within the braai area is not suitable and very much disturbing. Guests have no privacy. There was only one dam and not several as indicated, that had water but we accepted that it was a dry season.

This must be the most enjoyable and well rested days of the year. I'm really looking forward to another memorable stay with you.

The overall stay at Jabali was very nice and the view from the cabin was wonderful. The outdoor shower is also an added bonus. What I did however find disappointing was that it is advertised that: "The Chalets are fully fitted and serviced every day." We had no service, the cutlery and crockery in the cupboards were dirty and there were no dishwashing liquid left to wash the dishes so we had to wash it with the pine-gel cleaner. I also had to clean the braai myself, because of no service, but there is no outside dustbin. We had to ask for toilet paper every time we needed a new roll. It is also advertised: "The magnificent swimming pool and large lapa provide great entertainment with stunning views". The area doesn't look entertaining at all and not nearly as shown in the photo. No pool loungers, broken lounge suite and I don't remember umbrellas. I would recommend the owners take management of the Reserve into their own hands, because it looks like the management is handed fully to the workers.

It was very nice... quiet and nice accommodation. And we appreciated the small things they did like have a bag of ice for us in the fridge, as well as wood to make fire with and also things like coffee, sugar & coffee creamer. We enjoyed the outdoor shower and the braai facilities. Very pretty view
