Cashan Cottage
Nestled on the edges of the Savannah boundary of the Reserve, lies Cashan Cottage. With its uninterrupted views of the picturesque waterhole, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a uniquely South African experience.

The original mud brick “Outspan Station” is named after Kgwashwane, the powerful chief of the Kwena Mmatau tribe. Built in the 1800’s, for travellers wishing to rest their oxen, this beautiful cottage has recently been restored and refurbished into a luxury serviced, self-catering establishment.

Perfectly suited for two couples or a family of four, Cashan Cottage is equipped with two en-suite bedrooms, with double beds, as well as electric fans and heaters for the winter. A big kitchen, dining room and living area lead onto a large patio – just the spot to marvel at a sunset that is hard to beat.

With easy access to the kitchen, an outside Boma, with braai (BBQ) facilities, is everyone’s favourite place to unwind after the midday game drives. Sit back and listen to the sounds of the wildebeest at the waterhole, and let your mind go back in time to when it was a place of wilderness – promising yourself to respect the magnificence of nature.

The Bush House
Shaded by the branches of a beautiful old Wild Olive tree, the Bush House is located on the edge of the western Savannah boundary. The Ngwaritse River runs just below it. The luxury, serviced, self-catering, 3 Star Bush House can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests in considerable comfort.

Apart from a huge kitchen and living area, the 5 bedrooms are furnished with double and twin beds, electric fans in summer and heaters and a log fire in winter. Two en suite bathrooms with a shower and toilet, and a third bathroom with a shower, bath and separate toilet complete the picture.

The outdoor patio of the Bush House overlooks a dam which occasionally holds water where a variety of birds gather during the cooler hours at dawn and dusk.

A large reed-covered boma ideal for evening braais (BBQ), is a favourite place to sit by the fire and recount the day's activities while roasting marshmallows, counting stars or listening to the sounds of the night. The view from the Bush House at sunset is hard to beat.

Secure parking is provided for all guests vehicles.

The swimming pool is a short walk from The Bush House where an awe-inspiring view of the plains is on show. Guests might be lucky to spot the ever present Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Wildebeest and Zebra. While sightings of Black Backed Jackal and our resident warthogs Willie and Willemena and their babies is a special event at sundown.

Your Game Drive will include an educational tour of the reserve as well as an insight into our daily routine of conserving our environment. This drive can be taken early morning or late afternoon with a guaranteed sunset on order.
