Cashan Cottage Nestled on the edges of the Savannah boundary of the Reserve, lies Cashan Cottage. With its uninterrupted views of the picturesque waterhole, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a uniquely South African experience.
The original mud brick “Outspan Station” is named after Kgwashwane, the powerful chief of the Kwena Mmatau tribe. Built in the 1800’s, for travellers wishing to rest their oxen, this beautiful cottage has recently been restored and refurbished into a luxury serviced, self-catering establishment.
Perfectly suited for two couples or a family of four, Cashan Cottage is equipped with two en-suite bedrooms, with double beds, as well as electric fans and heaters for the winter. A big kitchen, dining room and living area lead onto a large patio – just the spot to marvel at a sunset that is hard to beat.
With easy access to the kitchen, an outside Boma, with braai (BBQ) facilities, is everyone’s favourite place to unwind after the midday game drives. Sit back and listen to the sounds of the wildebeest at the waterhole, and let your mind go back in time to when it was a place of wilderness – promising yourself to respect the magnificence of nature. |
