Leighwood Lodge is a four-star boutique guest house set in the beautiful, tranquil suburb of Parktown North in Johannesburg. The guard hut on the property and electric fencing is the only hint that the lodge is situated in a suburb.

Rooms feature over sized bathrooms with both a bath and a shower, and luxurious extra-length king sized beds to sink back into at the end of the day. A business area acts as both a work and relaxation space. Other luxury features include a mini-bar area, plasma TV with 18-channel satellite, WiFi, air-conditioning, under-floor heating, and heated towel rails.

With two common lounge areas situated in the main house, guests can choose to relax in a peaceful, sunny environment or to sink down in a comfy armchair with one of the many books available. A sparkling swimming pool and a covered patio provide the perfect summer setting in which to relax and cool off with an evening cocktail. A full English breakfast is served daily, on the patio, weather permitting, or indoors in front of a roaring log fire.

Whether you’re looking for chic, designer African fashion, the latest music and books, or crafts from all over Africa, it is all available just a short distance from Leighwood Lodge. If shopping does not appeal, the Johannesburg Zoo, one of South Africa’s largest, with 365 different species, offers the Big Five on your doorstep or you may choose rather to take a lazy Sunday afternoon stroll around the Zoo Lake. Directions
After leaving the airport, follow the R24/ JOHANNESBURG sign.

At approx 10 kms, keep left and follow the M2/ JOHANNESBURG/ DURBAN/ KIMBERLY sign.

At approx 15 kms, keep left and follow the M2/ JOHANNESBURG/ GERMISTON sign.

Very soon, two signs will appear: M2/ GERMISTON and M2/ JOHANNESBURG. Follow the M2/ JOHANNESBURG sign, which forks to the right.

Follow the M2/ CITY sign, pass the Slovo Drive off-ramp in the downtown area and then follow the M1/ SANDTON/ PRETORIA sign.

At approx 30 kms, take the M27/ Jan Smuts Avenue off-ramp (after the Empire Road off-ramp ).

Turn left at the traffic lights onto Jan Smuts Avenue and follow the M27/ Rosebank sign.

Go through the traffic lights at the Jan Smuts/ Bolton Road intersection, at approx 34 kms.

At the top of a slight hill you will see Standard Bank on your left. Turn left at this intersection/ traffic lights into 7th Avenue and take the 2nd road right into 2nd Avenue.

Go through two small circles and Leighwood Lodge is No 41, on your left.
