Oyster Creek Lodge is strategically found nestling amongst the tall trees of the exclusive "The Point" suburb of South Africa's number one tourist destination, Knysna.

Located between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town, Knysna lies in the heart of South Africa's famous Garden Route and is fast becoming a playground for international investors and tourists from all over the world.

Your Choice of accommodation :

Room 1 - Our luxury/honeymoon suite. This beautiful room is the ultimate in luxury. Queen-size bed and small lounge area with its own plasma TV. It leads out onto the deck overlooking the Knysna Lagoon which surrounds the lodge on 3 sides. The luxury bathroom offers an elevated oval bath, double vanity slab, separate toilet and separate shower. What could be better than enjoying a glass of bubbly by candlelight with your partner in the bath?

Room 2 - This lovely queen bedded room with en suite shower overlooks the lagoon and Outeniqua mountains in the background.

Room 3 - The only twin bedded room in the lodge but beautiful with unusual decor and en suite shower. It leads out onto the deck.

Room 4 - An all-time favourite with our guests. Queen bedded with en suite bathroom (both shower and bath). This room leads out onto the deck.

The Loft - Queen bedded with open plan bathroom (separate toilet). Boasts its own Romeo and Juliet balcony. Watch the oyster catchers and seagulls from the bath!

The entire lodge can also be rented out to a group for between R3500 - R4500 per day self-catering for the whole lodge - up to 12 adults and mattresses can be added for children.

Our Self catering Unit:

The self-catering unit is downstairs, walking straight out into the garden to within a few metres of the lagoon at spring-tide. It consists of 1 bedroom with a double bed and en suite shower. The other room has an open plan kitchenette/dining area with double sleeper couch where 1 or 2 smaller children can be hosted. It has a TV, fridge, microwave, small gas stove and all the necessary crockery and cutlery. It has its own garden furniture with braai facilities and obviously full access to the pool area. Ideal for a small young family. Here we can even host well-behaved pets! At Oyster Creek Lodge we offer braai facilities (BBQ) , an honesty bar, pool table, canoe and beautiful log fires in winter!

Mouth-watering breakfasts (our omelette's are the best in Knysna!) are prepared and served by Esther.

ATTRACTIONS IN THE KNYSNA AREA

Watersports, lagoon cruises, forest hikes, bird watching, horse riding, fishing, golf, elephant park, oyster tasting, mountain biking, etc. The world’s highest bungee jump at Storm’s River (216m!) and shark cage diving at Mossel Bay are both within easy reach. Whale and dolphin watching can also be arranged.

Your hosts while staying at Oyster Creek Lodge are Clive and Esther Boyes, who have created a friendly and relaxing atmosphere at the Lodge that will keep you coming back.
Esther is also a great homestyle cook who fills the Lodge with the delicious smell of homemade bobotie, roasts and many other local dishes.

Directions
From Port Elizabeth, stay on N2 and drive in direction of George. After CBD, drive next to Knysna Lagoon, pass craft market on left, 500m further, 1st turn-off to left, follow Oyster Creek signs right down to the water's edge. Big log construction, very last building on tip of 'The Point'.
From Cape Town , approaching Knysna, cross the 'white bridge' over the lagoon. 3.2km further, take first turn-off to your right, follow Oyster Creek signs right down to the tip of 'The Point'.
