The residential area of Marloth has an abundance of game and birds -- animals can roam freely in this bushveld township because there are no fences around the individual properties / accommodation establishments. Resident game species include: Impala, Kudu, Giraffe, Waterbuck, Zebra, Hippo, Warthog, etc. accommodation establishments. Many of these animals (& birds) can be seen while you relax on your thatched chalet's private patio and braai area. Within Marloth Park, there is a separate nature reserve, Lionspruit, where more dangerous game such as Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard can be seen.

Activities within Marloth include: bird watching, walking, game drives, etc. You can also view game from Marloth's lookout area which has panoramic views over the Crocodile River and into the Kruger Park. Although Marloth has no resident Elephants, they can often be viewed while bathing in the Crocodile River. Various predators like lion and leopard can be seen from time to time.

Activities outside yet nearby Marloth include: self-guided game drives into the Kruger National Park, professionally guided Kruger Park Safaris in luxury tour busses or open safari vehicles, morning walks and night drives in the Kruger, a round of golf at the Leopard Creek Golf Course, etc. Nearby activities for the more adventurous include: Elephant Back Safaris and Tiger Fishing Safaris.
