Down a quiet country lane, a stone's throw from an incredible expanse of white sand and turquoise sea, lies the lush valley of Noordhoek, and at its heart - Sacred Mountain Lodge. Tranquil and idyllic, Sacred Mountain Lodge in Noordhoek is the ideal location from which to explore the Cape Peninsula, minutes away from superb beaches, awe inspiring mountain drives including Chapman's Peak and Ou Kaapse Weg, and scenic wine routes beginning with the oldest and boldest Constantia Wine lands. From Sacred Mountain Lodge take a stroll down to Noordhoek Farm Village for lunch and browse around the array of local arts and craft shops. Walk across the way to one of the horse farms where you can enjoy an out ride on one of the friendly horses' take to the trails or head off for a canter along the 8km stretch of white sandy beach, unquestionably an exhilarating experience and one of the best beaches for horse riding in the world! For whale watching in season all along the False Bay coastline, and Cape Point Nature Reserve with their wildlife, particularly the cheeky and fascinating Baboon community; or take a scenic drive to Hout Bay and board a boat trip to Seal Island; and for the more adventurous, go cage diving with the Great White Shark, Deep Sea Fishing or abseiling off Chapman's Peak! Not to be missed are Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens' summer sunset concerts on the grassy slopes beneath the peaks of Table Mountain, harnessing a powerful experience of listening to music! If its bird watching you're after, we're situated in the heart of Table Mountain Nature Reserve with the Noordhoek Wetlands on our doorstep ' an incredibly popular location for the bird watching community. Golfers are spoilt for choice with Clovelly Country Club, Westlake Golf Club and Steenberg Golf Estate. 3 of the best courses in the Cape Town area within 15 minutes drive! Cyclists and running enthusiasts. There isn't a more perfect place to take part or view the Argus Cycle Tour or the Two Oceans Marathon; we are situated at the base of Chapman's Peak - what more can we say? And for the city folk, if the country life is making you crave a bit of city vibe (it can happen!), well Cape Town City Centre and the infamous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is only a 30 minute drive. Directions
We are accessible either over Chapman's Peak (M6), or over Ou Kaapse Weg (M64). From the airport Take N2 direction Cape Town, turn left onto the M3. At the end of M3 you will reach a T-junction set of traffic lights, turn right onto M42, then turn left onto M64 (Ou Kaapse Weg). Turn right into Silvermine Road (Noordhoek turn off). Upon reaching the T-Junction, turn right onto the M6. After 500 meters, turn left into Avondrust Circle. Drive 400 meters (drive straight missing right hairpin bend into Avondrust Lane), and you will see our sign on the right hand side.
