Sugarbird Manor is situated on a 21-hectare working protea flower farm and overlooks miles of beautiful hilly landscape. Guests are welcome to enjoy the protea harvesting experience.

Sugarbird Manor offers an escape from the outside world in a relaxed atmosphere where our guests can be one with nature, take long walks on one of our three hiking trails can enjoy a delicious breakfast in the dining room, or relax in our cozy bar whilst enjoying fine wine near the fireplace.

Directions
From the airport or Cape Town: Take the N2 highway in the direction of Somerset-West. Turn left at the R310 Baden Powell Rd off-ramp, direction Stellenbosch. Follow the road past Spier up to the T-junction and turn right. Take the second road to the left - Devon Valley Road. Drive for +-5km and turn right at the Protea Heights entrance. Follow the signposts to the guest entrace for Sugarbird Manor.

From the N1: Take the Koelenhof Road (R304) / Stellenbosch off-ramp. Enter Stellenbosch (Bird Street). Turn right at the R44 traffic light intersection (Eikestad Motors). Turn Right at the third traffic light - this will take you onto the Adam Tas Road. Pass Stellenbosch railway station (on your right hand side), cross the railway bridge and pass Distell. After the Distell traffic lights, turn right into the Devon Valley Road. Drive for +-5km and turn right at the Protea Heights entrance. Follow the signposts to the guest entrance for Sugarbird Manor.
