Tranquility Lodge is a Honeymooners Paradise, hidden in the Heart of the Tsitsikamma National Forest in Natures Valley on the Garden Route, this location brings out the romantic side in all. Surrounded by a pristine beach, and forest which beckons honeymooners and holiday makers to come for a walk, to find all its hidden nooks and crannies. The beach is a mere 50 meters from the Lodge, perfect for sunbathers and surfers to enjoy.

The lodge is mostly wooden in structure and truly blends with the natural forest in Natures Valley. Boasting a lush and natural garden that makes you feel you really are hidden away from the world around you. Our garden plays host to a splash pool as well as our very unique hotpool, a must for after a long day of hiking.


Sorry we do not accommodate children under the age of 13 at the lodge.

To enhance your experience in nature, Tranquility Lodge offers free to all their clients, sit upon kayaks for paddling on the Groot River Lagoon. For those who love fishing, we have the full range of options from surf and rock to flying fishing in the lagoon with many different species to challenge the intrepid fisherman.

Some of the most magnificent hiking trails with unrivalled views of sea, forest, waterfalls and lagoon will leave you breathless. Our Salt River trail is a favourite add-on to the famous Otter Trail (one we fondly call our “mini otter”). If you are an early riser, you may be lucky enough to spot our resident family of otters on the beach or scrambling over the rocks. Regular Bush Buck and Bush Pig sightings in the village will enthral you and there is always the chance of the elusive leopards that hide out in the forest.

Also to make sure your Adrenalin is still pumping, Tranquility Lodge offers FREE to all their clients a walk on the Bloukrans Bridge, home of the world’s highest bungy bridge.

Nature’s Valley is one of the top birding sites for the casual birder or the ardent “twitcher” with sightings of the Knysna Turaco (Lourie), Narina Trogon, Blackheaded Oriole, African Black Oystercatcher & the ever elusive African Finfoot, just to name a few of the specials in the area. We guarantee you will notch up one or two unique sightings during your stay with us.

Directions
Tranquility Lodge is situated in the hamlet of Natures Valley on the Garden Route.

From Port Elizabeth:
Take the N2 for approx 195 kms, (you will pass the Boskor plant then you will go over the famous Bloukrans bridge then you are very near).
You will then go through the Toll gate (R35 per car) and IMMEDIATELY after the toll gate you will take the R102 LEFT
Follow the R102 until you get down into the valley, approx 9Km.
(There is only 1 entrance into Natures Valley)
Go left into the valley,
From Cape Town direction:
On the N2, we are approximately 27 km past Plettenberg Bay.
Turn right at the R102/Nature’s Valley sign.
Proceed for about 10 km, until you get down into the valley.
(there is only 1 entrance into the village)
Turn right in to the village
Once you turned into Nature’s Valley:
Take the 2nd street on the right, it is St. George’s Avenue.
Take St. George’s all the way until you reach the end of the valley, where the shop and restaurant is. (about 1.9km)
Drive past the restaurant (which will be on your left) and past the small parking area.
Directly after the parking area you’ll see our gate with our sign on your left.
