Addo Afrique is an exclusive new eco-development of luxury self-catering lodges nestling in the natural bushveld in the Malaria Free Greater Addo/Eastern Cape area. Located only 72km from the bustling town of Port Elizabeth, and overlooking Addo Elephant National Park, Addo Afrique promises the ultimate bush experience.

Addo Afrique Luxury Lodges create the perfect African experience and are amongst the finest accommodation in the Eastern Cape/Garden Route. The lodges are uniquely designed to blend with the environment providing a deep sense of relaxation and freedom. There are currently two luxury lodges (3 and 4 bedroom), each tastefully decorated, air conditioned and carpeted throughout, and fully furnished to the very highest standard.

Giraffe Lodge consists of 3 spacious en suite queen or king bedrooms all individually decorated and each with stunning views overlooking the rolling mountains. A jacuzzi/spa bath and double outdoor shower help to create complete relaxation and revitalization. The comfortable living area has a beautiful feature fireplace and plasma television with DSTV and DVD player. The lounge leads into an open plan dining area and fully equipped kitchen with separate scullery. A unique boma area is perfect to enjoy an evening under the stars.

Elephant Lodge has 4 spacious en suite bedrooms again individually designed and furnished. The master bathroom features a centered bath with outdoor shower. The lounge/dining area is double volume with glass doors inviting fragrant breezes and expansive views. The lapa provides an entertainment area and bar serviced by your personal butler. Elephant Lodge also includes your personal butler/chauffeur, who will prepare your breakfasts, lunches or have a braai/barbecue ready for your return from any of the local excursions.

Vast decked balconies at each lodge lead out to a private plunge pool - the perfect location to enjoy the sunset whilst experiencing the natural beauty and spectacular game viewing.

Laze on your own private deck, admiring the beauty of nature, whilst sipping on a sundowner cocktail, or opt for a Game Drive in the Addo Elephant National Park only 10 minutes drive from Addo Afrique.

There is much to do in and around the Addo area for all ages from cruising with Addo River Safaris to elephant back safaris and handling lion cubs.

Arrive at Addo Afrique and be welcomed by the sight of giraffe and buck strolling around your lodge. Relax by the pool taking in the views over the Addo Elephant National Park as our staff prepare a traditional African braai/barbecue under the stars.

DAY 1 - RIVER SAFARI
Enjoy a scrumptious cooked breakfast as you get ready to start your first exciting day with a self-drive safari through the Addo Elephant National Park (Entrance fee not included with package), the only park in the world to conserve the Big 7. The option is available to hire one of the many knowledgeable hop-on guide’s. Make use of the restaurant in the park for lunch.
Exit at the Southern Gate and drive 5 minutes to the beautiful Sundays River to begin your river safari for 3PM. Experience a 2.5 hour cruise, admiring the vast birdlife and many animal species on the river banks. The houseboat has a toilet facility and is suitable for all weathers as we have an indoor cabin with comfortable leather seating as well as a top deck with sun loungers and a seating area providing outstanding views.
Return to Addo Afrique for dinner at approx 6pm in your own vehicle.

DAY 2 - Schotia Safari
Spend the morning lazing by the pool before your busy afternoon starts at 2.30. Enjoy the afternoon and evening at a private game reserve and get as close as possible for the best viewing of rhino, hippo, giraffe and the king of the beasts, lion!
Enjoy a four hour guided game drive in an open top 4x4 Land Rover with a short refreshments and toilet break at the halfway point. After an amazing experience where you will view more animals than you thought possible, enjoy a delicious dinner, which is prepared over an open fire. A short, spotlit night drive provides the possibility of more nocturnal animals and completes your experience. Return to Addo Afrique at +-9 oclock
