The Nyati Concept

The idea behind the creation of Nyati Beach Lodge is to give guests an overall experience with unique surroundings, top-of-the-range accommodation and excursions and activities that offer something for the adventurous. The objective is to show the country at it's most unspoiled, whilst focusing exclusively on the guest's experience.

This nature reserve offers one of the most spectacular vacation spots in the world due to its unique and untouched flora, fauna and wildlife of the Bazaruto Archipelago. In this vacation paradise you find Nyati Beach Lodge, sheltered by green dunes and ilala palms, on the small sandy isthmus that separates the Indian Ocean from the Bazaruto Archipelago.

Following arrival, lunch will be served in the lodge restaurant, overlooking the white sandy beaches and turquoise waters of the Nyati vacation paradise. An information meeting will be held after lunch to arrange your personal vacation program and the accommodation in the luxurious beach villas and bungalows. There will be some free time to take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean or relax on the large terraces of the guest accommodation, taking in the wonderful view of the sea and getting into vacation mode. The evening begins with a welcome cocktail party followed by a gourmet meal in the comfortable lodge restaurant.

Nyati Beach Lodge is an exclusive resort with 10 kilometres of pristine private beach. A short helicopter or boat ride south of Vilanculos. The helicopter transfer offers a great opportunity to see the stunning Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary from above. The resort is sheltered by white sand dunes and ilala palms on the narrow peninsula between the Indian Ocean and the quiet lagoon waters of the mouth of the Inhambane River.

Luxury and dreams

Nyati Beach Lodge is situated in a virgin nature reserve and its position, perched on top of high sand dunes, offers stunning views of the lagoon and the sea. The five luxury bungalows and the three exclusive beach villas sleep up to 24 people in total. The architectural design of these lodgings, the exclusivity and comfort, in addition to the exquisite dishes prepared in the lodge restaurant, is what makes a stay here so special. Dinner arrangements vary between gourmet menus, buffets served by the lit pool and lovely barbecue evenings on the lodge beach.

An experience that lasts a lifetime

During a stay at Nyati Beach Lodge guests can enjoy watersports such as snorkelling, Hobie Cat sailing, canoeing and windsurfing for free. Guests also have the option to go on an exiting trip into the wilderness and wetlands further into the nature reserve, or to explore the surrounding islands in the Bazaruto Archipelago. If your holiday needs a romantic touch you can take a "Sunset Cruise" in the glowing sunset aboard one of the characteristic local sailboats (dhows), ending the day with a picnic on the beach.

The area is also known for being one of the best in the world for diving and deep sea fishing and will thus fulfil all the expectations of those who hope to encounter the "big game" of the sea. If you fancy diving, you can go to one of the coral reefs and dive down to the depths to discover the wonderful underwater world of Mozambique. You can also try the new diving school, where beginner and intermediate divers can receive professional instruction from the lodge's skilled instructors. Or you can choose to qualify for an international diving certificate, where you will be taught in accordance with PADI standards.
