sandile's Rest,with its pristine mountain river and streams,is both a private game and forest reserve,consisting of wild life,a forest plantation,40 ha of indigenous yellowwood forest and wetlands.Once in,you will feel as if you are in the Knysna Forest,but with Sandile's Rest's own wild life!

We do full board and Lodging, B&B as well as Self catering cabins .All our log cabins are the real thing - not built with planks but with whole logs carefully selected from our own forest plantation.

Activities: Trout and Bass Fishing, Horse riding, Forest walks, Game & bird viewing and mountain bike riding.

Directions
From Johannesburg travel on the N1 South, just after Bloemfontein turn left onto the N6, as you get out of Stutterheim towards East London, you turn right (from East London side you turn left) to King Williams Town(R346),drive on theR346 for 12.5km,turn right onto a gravel road(sigh says Sandile’s Rest and Sandile’s Sawmill),keep straight, you will pass Perrie Sawmills on your right and further on Sandile’s Sawmill on your left, go straight over the cattle grid, the road turns to the right, go through the dip and on the right you will find Sandile’s Rest gate, total distance on gravel road 9.7km.
