Sabie is a small country towm nestled in a deep valley on the escarpment of the Drakensberg mountain Range in the Mpumalanga (‘ place of the rising sun’ ) Province of South Africa.  The town is 64 km west of the renown Kruger National Park. Sabie is malaria free and is a popular tourist destination with its breathtaking nature scenes, spectacular water falls and pristine mountain streams.  The average temperature ranges from 2 to 32 degrees c with the warmest days in December (average 26 degree c)

Directions
From Pretoria to Johannesburg take the N4 towards Witbank and continue past Middelburg and Belfast, after 2nd tollgate keep left and take the Schoemanskloof Road to Nelspruit.  This road is plus minus 77 km’s.  At the t-junction turn left……after about 2 – 3 km’s you turn left on the R539 (signposted Sabie and Sudwala caves ).  Turn off right just before Sudwala Caves (Sabie signposted) and continue with the R539 to the R37 t-junction.  Turn left onto the R37 and then right at the next t-junction,  10km from Sabie.
