Nestled in the picturesque Agter-Pakhuis Valley, 26 km from Clanwilliam on route to the historic Wuperthal village, you will find De Pakhuys Guest Farm. The farm belong to the Kruger and Botha Families.

The Kruger family, originally from Cape Town, visited the area in 2003 and couldn't resist having a piece of this paradise to themselves. They subsequently bought a piece of land in this magnificent valley and decided to renovate one of the cottages on the farm and share the splendour of the Cederberg with visitors.

The cottage and guests are looked after and cared for by partners and friends, Thys & Karin Kruger and Mark & Marinda Botha. Mark & Marinda farms on the land bordering de Pakhuys. They both grew up in this beautiful valley and can share some interesting facts about the history of the Agter- Pakhuis area with guests.

Every year in August and September, the Cederberg Wilderness Area is transformed into a floral showcase. Swathes of wildflowers cover the ground as far as the eye can see and over 250 different types of indigenous flowers have been documented in the area.

The preceding winter’s rainfall strongly influences how abundant the Spring display will be. For visitors wanting to follow one of the many ‘Flower Routes’ on offer at this time, information is available from the Clanwillian Information Office.

The farm offers a beautiful scenic drive to the top section of the farm accessible only with a 4x4 vehicle. The top section of the farm consists of 60 ha of rooibos tea lands and 260 ha of unspoilt fynbos gorges and wild flowers during season.

Hundred years old Wild Olive trees, or commonly know as olienhout trees, can be found wedged between the rocks. An old hollow rock cave can be used for a picnic or for those that really wants to "rough it", as an overnight camping spot.

Bicycles for rent: Bicycles are available on the farm for rent.

Swimming pool: Come home after a hot day to the sparkling swimming pool at the cottages.
