Tony, Alma and their colleagues warmly welcome guests to their relaxing and friendly oasis in the bush. Set in the vast Balule Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger Park, this is home to a superb variety of fauna and flora, including the legendary “Big 5”. Comfortable thatched rondawels, with al fresco showers, are decorated in an African theme. Unwind during the heat of the day around a sparkling pool or in the shade of the lapa, under giant acacia trees. Traditional songs and dancing by African ladies herald romantic dinners under the stars, often punctuated by the roaring of lions and the whooping of hyenas. The Lodge is easily accessible by road or by daily flights from Johannesburg.

Our guides bring guests up close to nature on game drives and foot safaris and their experience and enthusiasm make these trips unforgettable. Trips are undertaken in specially modified Landrovers, without tops, to allow superior all round vision. Enjoy uninterrupted views of our magnificent array of birds, breathtaking big skies, stunning stars and impressive trees.

There are wonderful photo opportunities and rangers will always attempt to place you in position for that exceptional picture. Not only will you seek out the big game, but also the little things which make the Bush such an exciting place to visit and appreciate.

Directions
The Lodge is centrally situated and is thus an ideal base from which to explore the area. We are easy to find, just 7km off the tarred R40, slightly north of Hoedspruit. We are en-route to or from the Panorama Route and the Blyde River Canyon, via the Abel Erasmus Pass. The Kruger Park is also close by: both Orpen & Phalaborwa Gates are about 80km from us.
Directions From Johannesburg - 4˝ hours
• Join the N12 towards Witbank
• N12 joins the N4 at Witbank and continue to Belfast.
• At Belfast take the R540 to Dullstroom & Lydenburg.
• Continue through Lydenburg and towards Ohrigstad along the R36.
• Pass through the Abel Erasmus Pass and through the JG Strydom Tunnel towards Hoedspruit along the R527.
• At Hoedspruit the R527 will intersect with the R40.
• Turn left and travel along the R530 (R40) for 10kms and turn right at the Mohlabetsi signboard.
• Enter the manned security gates and travel 7kms and drive straight into the camp, where a warm welcome awaits you.
