Tuningi Safari Lodge is a beautiful five star lodge set in the 75000 hectare, malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve. Tuningi is set in a peaceful valley surrounded by the serenity of the African Bush. The main building has a huge wooden deck with a stunning rim-flow pool overlooking a waterhole. Attached to this deck, along a winding wooden boardwalk is a magnificent outdoor boma under an ancient fig tree. The interiors are 'Colonial African chic' and are comfortable as well as luxurious.

Tuningi Safari Lodge sleeps 16 people in gorgeous free standing, thatched rooms that are all equipped with en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, air-conditioning, gas fireplaces and their own private wooden deck.There are two family units that consist of two double bedrooms en suite, with an adjoining living area. These rooms are perfect for parents traveling with their children and friends traveling together.

Although the lodge is sophisticated and elegant it also maintains a laid back warmth that creates an ideal atmosphere in which to relax and rest. The daily game drives offer guests the upclose and personal contact with the many wonders of the bush, an experience that is always thrilling and informative. Directions
From Johannesburg head north on the N1 towards the N4 Toll Road. Take the N4 Toll road north west towards Rustenburg, Swartruggens, Groot Marico and Zeerust. Once in Zeerust turn right at the second stop street into President Street. There is a signpost on the left that says “ Madikwe Game Reserve/Gabarone” and a First National Bank on the corner to the right. Follow the R49 towards the reserve for approximately 97km. The first entrance to the reserve is Abjaterskop gate. Pass that gate and enter at the next gate – Wonderboom Gate exactly 7km from the first gate
