Cornerway House | Bed and Breakfast Plettenberg Bay

Cornerway House is a Cape/Dutch style house set in a pretty garden with a swimming pool. It is situated in a residential area and only seven minutes stroll from the wonderful golden sands of Robberg beach (seven kilometres long). Five minutes drive away is the centre of town and many good restaurants along with Central beach from which the Whale watching boats are launched. Also Lookout beach with its fine safe swimming.

Cornerway House has eight individually decorated bedrooms all of which have their own entrance. All are en suite and have fridges, fans (summer) and heating (winters), safes with tea and real coffee. There is secure off road parking. Children by arrangement. Dog lovers welcome.

There is so much to do in Plett. One can hike or mountain bike ride though the indigenous Knysna forest or explore the nature reserve of the Robberg Peninsula where in season you can see whales. During most of the year you should spot dolphins and you will certainly be able to look down on the Cape fur seal colony. Within a 20 minute drive you can experience a game drive and see lions and rhinos and many others of the larger animals. Not far away there is a monkey sanctuary and the most wonderful valley that has had a net thrown over the top of it (so to speak) in which there is a staggering collection of exotic birds.

Directions
From George and Knysna on the N2
Coming from Knysna on the N2 you will pass townships on the left and right. As you drive along you will see the Indian Ocean in front of you. On the left there is an industrial estate. Turn right there - sign post says Plettenberg Bay. After about 1.5 kilometers you will come to a mini round about with a bronze statue of dolphins in the middle - go straight across, down the hill. Over a river to the next mini round about - straight over again. After 100 metres there is a Spar shop on the left, just after it turn right- this is then Longships Drive. After about 1K Cornerway House is 61 on the right - You are here.


From Port Elizabeth on the N2
As you come along the N2 you will come down a hill and see Plettenberg Bay laid out before you. You go over two rivers, past Polo fields and a golf course. You will then see a sign to the left Plettenberg Bay. Turn left, past the ENGEN filling station, past a new shopping centre on the right, up the hill and through the centre of the town. You will come to a mini round about with a bronze statue of dolphins in the middle. Turn left there and go down the hill. Over a river to the next mini round about - straight over again.
