Built in 1998, the Knysna Log-Inn has just undergone a MULTI-MILLION rand make-over. The hotel combines the character and the spirit of the surrounding indigenous forests with Knysna's romantic history. On entering the lobby of one of the largest log structures in the Southern Hemisphere, one is met with exquisitely carved solid Yellowwood trunks towering upwards to magnificent Scandinavian hammer trusses.

Rays of sunshine flooding through the spectacular stained glass windows, illuminate the splendid solid Yellowwood staircase. The autumn hues of the slate flooring and the extensive use of natural river stone combine with the wood to create an atmosphere of tranquil balance. Truly "in tune with nature".

From Plettenberg Bay’s side:
(coming from PE, Durban, Plettenberg Bay side)

Follow the N2 from Plettenberg Bay.
Once you get to Knysna, the N2 becomes the Main Road. It is the only place in South Africa where the national road (in this case the N2) is also the main road of a town!
Follow the Main road past four sets of traffic lights.
By the fifth traffic light (there will be an ABSA bank on your left), turn left into Gray Street.
Pass two STOP street signs and the Knysna Log-Inn will be on your right hand side.

From George side:
(coming from Cape Town, Mosselbay, George side)

Follow the N2 from George.

Follow the Main road past one set of traffic lights.
By the second traffic light (there will be an First National Bank on your right hand side, ABSA across the road on your right hand side and Pam Golding estates on your left hand side), turn right into Gray Street.
Pass two STOP street signs and the Knysna Log-Inn will be on your right hand side.
