Fountain Hall Guest House is on a working dairy farm situated 7 km from Mooi River nestled in the foothills of the Kamberg and Drakensberg mountains in the heart of the Natal Midlands, and on the Midlands Meander route. We cater for guests in search of comfortable country style hospitality. The house is fully equipped for self catering. There is a lovely large fire place in a large Lounge / dinning room area. There are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom consisting of a double bed, a single bed and a cot, and walk in wardrobe.
The second smaller room has 2 single beds in it. Extra mattresses for children are available on request. The 2 bedrooms share a bathroom.
Underfloor heating, electric blankets and fans are present in the bedrooms. There is DSTV in the Main bedroom. The cottage has its own entrance with private garden and braai facility
We have new camping facilities situated on the Mearns dam. There is an ablution block which consists of 2 bathrooms each with a toilet, shower and basin. There is a kitchen area with 2 plate gas stove , sink and fridge. There are a number of exciting activities available in the area, fishing. We are in close proximity to golf course, schools, battle fields, bushmen and San rock art, etc. Fountain Hall is situated on the Midlands Meander route. The Meander offers a variety of crafts, galleries, shops, restaurants and pubs. Our area also boasts 2 of the finest health hydros in the country.
Activities on the farm include: viewing of bird, wildlife, and numerous farm animals and the dairy etc. , walks, bass fishing on 7 km of Mearns dam. . Or bring along your own bikes and ride around the farm.
