The Schoeman-family has been farming in the valley for eight generations, and invite you to come and share the tranquillity and beauty of the valley with them.

Berluda offers a working ostrich farm, quad bike rental, as well as mountain biking, and many nearby hiking trails. Stunning 4 x 4 routes only accesible for guests at Berluda. They cater especially for families with young children.
Located halfway between Oudtshoorn and the Cango Caves, Berluda Farmhouse and Cottages is the perfect place for a peaceful and quiet breakaway from the city.

Cottages have verandas with stunning views and private BBQ-facilities, for a traditional South-African “braai”. It also features well-equipped kitchens.
Rooms have private entrances, all decorated with old world charm. They all include deluxe bathrooms with jacuzzi tub.
Guests can enjoy a sumptuous farm style breakfast or dinner with local delicacies such as ostrich and karoo lamb, at the restaurant.

Directions
From Oudtshoorn: Follow the R328 towards the Cango Caves. About 15km out of town, turn off to your left at Schoemanshoek. About 400m further down the road is a big white church. At the church, turn left again, and follow the gravel road for about 200m until you find the Berluda entrance on your right.
