Aves lodge is situated 15km outside the lovely town of Cullinan in the ‘De Tweedespruit conservancy’, 30 km east of Pretoria and a mere 90 km North of Or Tambo International Airport.

The lodge is on a 25 hectare property and built as a wooden cottage with enough space for your long holiday or your short breakaway.

Aves - which is the scientific name for 'birds' - is definitely your one and only choice if you appreciate the tranquility while enjoying the bush in your own privacy.

Dogs and kids, friends and family are more then welcome.

Our spacious cottage caters for up to 8 people. It includes 4 bedrooms (2x double and 2x with 2 single beds), 2 bathrooms (one with shower and toilet and other one with bath and toilet) and an open plan kitchen. A living space with fireplace, gas stove and DSTV. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your self-catering needs.

Relaxing and enjoying the stunning view from the spacious wooden deck is highly recommended. For your leisure we offer a gas heater, gas braai, hammock and large outside dining table. For the more adventurous amongst us, there is a 4x4 quad bike which you are welcome to use as long as you respect the fact that Aves is situated in a conservancy and the quad is used to tour the property only (no racing) and understand that the use of it is on your own risk.

For your relaxation and stress relief we offer spa treatments in the privacy of your own deck (Must be pre-booked)

Exploring the area will lead to birding, ballooning, mine tour, walking with lions, horseback safaris, self-drive safari and micro light flying.

Cullinan is a beautiful town with nice little restaurants and shops to explore.

Directions
From Pretoria take the N4 toward Witbank.

take the Cullinan / Rayton offramp
turn left at the offramp towards Cullinan / Rayton

Stay on this road fro 25 km, pass Cullinan (do not turn into Cullinan)

When the tar road ends, continue for 4 km on the dirt road until you see the K113 Sign of Aves log cabin
