All guest areas are focused on the active waterhole, these include the game viewing hide, lounge and dining areas. The activity at the waterhole provides an almost endless procession of animals ranging from the bustling synchronized flight of the qualia to a herd of buffalo, occasionally punctuated by the visit of a pair of honey badgers.

Sturdy acacias reach high above the camp, forming large canopies of shade, under which you will find twenty custom built luxury tents. Given the concentration of elephant in this wildlife sanctuary, the camp is fenced and ensures peace of mind whilst not limiting the cacophony of night sounds as you drift off to sleep after an exhilarating day of big game viewing.

The camp accommodates a maximum of 40 guests, is spacious and tastefully furnished tents, each features en-suite shower and toilet as well as tea and coffee making facilities and mini safe. There is also a family tent, of which the second bedroom is ideal for children.

The lodge is unique for several reasons and among these is the fact that it is suited within a game-rich reserve affording guests wonderful sightings of big game during the periods between our daily safaris. Freshly prepared meals are served in a variety of locations including the dining deck, a bush venue or the boma located at the active waterhole.

In addition to the proximity of the impressive Victoria Falls, most guests are at Elephant Valley Lodge for the thrill of open vehicle safaris in the Chobe Game Reserve and close encounters with a wide variety of wildlife from the comfort of our custom built game viewing boats along the Chobe River. Our Qualified and experienced guides are tasked with the pleasure of interpreting the sights and sounds of this vast wildlife reserve.

Elephant Valley Lodge is situated in the Lesoma Valley which lies in the heart of the Kasane Forest Reserve. The reserve is adjacent to the Chobe National Park. There are numerous ways in which the lodge can be reached, they include daily flights into Livingstone, Victoria Falls or Kasane.

Transfers are available from both Livingstone and Victoria Falls and these are provided by numerous transfer companies. The transfer time is approximately 1 hour from either airport and will bring guests to either Kazungula crossing in the case of Livingstone or the Botswana - Zimbabwe border post in the case of Victoria Falls. At the Kazungula crossing (border between Zambia and Botswana) a short boat trip will ferry guests to the Botswana side where an Elephant Valley lodge game viewer will be waiting to meet guests.

Please note that as of 01 October 2010 Elephant Valley will no longer be collecting and dropping off guests from the border posts of Kazangula Ferry (Zambia/Botswana) and Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe/Botswana) as well as Immigration in Kasane Town.
