The Lanzerac Hotel & Spa is located on a private working wine estate in the world-famous Jonkershoek Valley surrounded by the dramatic Helderberg mountains.

The hotel's rooms, restaurants, bar, lounge and facilities are all located in the estates 175 year, old Manor House and out-buildings, amidst 4 hectares of award-winning landscaped gardens featuring numerous ancient oaks, some over 200 years old.

The hotel is situated in the centre of the famous South African wine producing areas of Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek and Somerset West, and very close to numerous golf courses and the beaches of the Strand, Gordon's Bay and Cape Town (From 20 to 70 minutes).

Stellenbosch and the Lanzerac Hotel & Spa, located just inland from Cape Town (50 minutes) and the coast, enjoy a far milder and pleasant Mediterranean climate.

The Lanzerac Estate itself is protectively surrounded by the Helderberg mountains creating its own wind-free micro climate with a more stable range of temperatures. Summer, from November to end April, offers warm, sunny days with an average temperature of 27C. Winter, from May to October, with an average temperature of 18C is known as the green season. However, the average daily hours of sunshine is far higher than in Cape Town and the surrounding coastal areas.

Route beschrijving
From the Cape Town International Airport take the Somerset West (N2) on ramp. Stay on the N2 until you reach the R310 Baden Powell/Stellenbosch off ramp. Keep left and stay on the R310 to Stellenbosch for approx. 17 kms. You will pass landmarks such as Spier Estate and Vlottenburg Winery. When you reach the T-junction turn right and follow the road past DISTELL, keeping the railway line on your left side, go pass the station and enter into Adam Tas Road, still moving left. At the second set of traffic lights, turn right into Merriman Road noticing the B.P garage on the left and university buildings on the right, continue until you reach the traffic circle, take Martinson Road. Driving along Martinson Road you will notice a large school on the right hand side, pass the school and take the fourth road to the right, turn left then into the road with a row of tree's - Welcome to the Lanzerac !
