Room Facilities

	All our units are equipped with climate control.

	We have had disabled guests stay with us in the past and welcome all in the future. We will make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

	Plug-in access to the internet - only at reception.

	A friendly request for non-smoking in the units and dining area.

	Full meal and bar service is available to all the units. Units are serviced on a daily basis, no extra charge.

	Safe big enough for rifles in hunting season.

	DSTV in every unit with 14 channels.(Private decoder) DSTV in central lounge/dining area.

	Pets are welcome at R35 charge per animal - owner's responsibility. House-trained and on a leash.

	Smoking is allowed anywhere on the farm except in the units and the dining area.

	Telephone - only available at reception. Standard Telkom rates plus 50%. Full cell phone coverage on the farm.

	Television in every unit with remote - DSTV.

On Site Facilities

	Transfers to and from airport - can be arranged.

	Baby-sitting service available - arrangement prior to arrival. Our staff are responsible and friendly.

	Bar on Site. A firm favourite with our guests is to enjoy a sunset drink on the veranda as the moon rises from behind the "koppie".

	Children are our future. The farm is safe and child friendly. Lawns to play on and farm animals to see. Accommodation for children 1 and younger is for free. Reduced rates for meals - children between 3 and 12.

	Access to the internet is available - at reception.

	Laundry service available - hand in by 09:00 at reception to be returned the same day. Accounts will be charged accordingly.

	Swimming Pool - pool towels provided. Light lunches and drinks can be enjoyed at the pool - on arrangement. Barbecue facilities and thatch lapa at pool area. Pool is fenced.

	Restaurant on site. Dinners, Light Lunches and Breakfasts - please give enough notice for catering. Herb garden on site.

	Secure parking is available on site. Undercover parking is also available.

	The chalets are fully self-catering - of 4 star standard. Each chalet has it's own barbecue facilities - side dishes for your barbecue are available. Meat/Wood/Blitz for sale. Enough deep-freeze space. If the boma is not in use, guests are welcome to use it on a self - catering basis for a barbecue - on arrangement.

	Karoo National Park - 17km. Biking and 4x4 enthusiasts are welcome to freely explore our farm of 7000ha. Off-road motor cyclists are welcome.

	Game Viewing - day and night trips. Karoo National Park - 17km. Ko-Ka Tsara(Private Game Reserve) - 30km. Ian will also take you on a trip to see the game on our farm - on arrangement.

	Golf Course in Beaufort West - 20km.

	Our Porcupine Trail has 19 points of interest all recorded in a booklet for an enjoyable and informative walk, bird hide and list (more than 200 species recorded). Hiking in the Karoo National Park - 17km. Meiringspoort - 90km.

	Horse Riding. "Clover" and "Flip" giving many hours of enjoyable horse riding.

	Shopping and curios nearby - Beaufort West (20km.)

	Day trips from Olive Grove Guest Farm - order a picnic basket at reception to take along. A drive through the stunning Meiringspoort to Derust - 110km, stop for your picnic at Meiringspoort, walk the path to the waterfall and rock pools, swimming is permitted. Then on you go to Derust, many curio/art/gift shops. Another day trip can be the Swartberg Pass, our German Guests have commented on the beauty of this pass - good gravel road.

	Olive Grove Guest Farm is a recommendable stop to experience the Karoo as you head towards the Wine Route. Local Wineries - Doornraal and Mons Ruber both just outside Oudtshoorn - 150km.

	Cave paintings. 4x4 guided day trip in the Karoo National Park. Fossil Trail. Flora Trail. Visit Karoo working farms - at Olive Grove part of your experience will be staying on a Karoo working farm, our guests find it fascinating that olives can be grown successfully in the Karoo. We reap and process our own products - for sale at reception. Star gazing at it's best presented by professionals - Astro Tours - on arrangement prior to arrival.
