How does it work?

  1. Participating establishments pay 10% of every booking they receive into the free accommodation fund.
  2. This fund is used to pay for free accommodation for guests at any participating establishment.
  3. On average, 1 in 10 guests booking at participating establishments will receive a free booking. All bookings between R1 and R100,000 are eligible and have an equal chance.

Newly established guesthouse at Mountain View Manor with STUNNING views of Grahamstown and the surrounding mountains. Join us for a luxurious comfortable stay and a great sense of the outdoors.Accommodation is offered in two self-catering flats, namely Crow’s Nest and Falcon’s Rest and nine double rooms. The property is a mere 6km's from the centre of town (5min drive). There is a large swimming pool for guests to enjoy in the summertime as well as an outdoor braai area for all to enjoy. The guesthouse comprises of 9 bedrooms, each en-suite and sleeps either 2 singles or to be made into king-sized beds.Each room has en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Each bed has an electric blanket for our very cold winters as well as heaters on the walls. Flat screen TV in every room with full DSTV. All bedding and towels supplied. Tea and coffee facilities in each room with mini bar fridge. Frontier Country is one of the premier tourist routes in the Eastern Cape, with Grahamstown being in the centre. Take a walk around our historic city and see all the old buildings that were erected in the 1800's, and visit the Observatory Museum which houses one of only two Victorian Cameras Obscura in the world - with a magical mirror that reflects the town onto a large circular table. This malaria-free region is fast gaining local and international popularity for excellent game-viewing with a variety of private reserves which include the Big Five. Activities in the area include skydiving, hunting, game viewing, fly-fishing, hang-gliding, abseiling, horse-riding, river rafting and mountaineering. Grahamstown boasts some of the finest schools, colleges, universities and educational institutions to be found in South Africa, mainly St Andrews College, Diocesan School for Girls, Kingswood College, Victoria Girls' High School and one of the our country's top universities, Rhodes University. There are numerous museums to visit to learn more about the history of frontier country.
