Kwa-Mkhabele Lodge embraces the African spirit, enticing people to experience the rhythm of Africa amidst the humdrum of city life. Inviting guests to walk in as strangers, and leave with the "magic" stories expressing their experience. As an avid Harley Davidson rider, Jamal was enthralled by Harley's emotional connection, bonding the world's mavericks, entrepreneurs, innovators committed to the wild-side, consciously living life to the full. Kwa-Mkhabele Lodge provides the environment for this unique experience. The guests are welcomed by the friendly day Front Desk Staff who are assisted by professional colleagues in the evening. The front desk staff are fully aware of Gauteng events, tours and effectively provide guests with non-intrusive information to ensure a pleasurable stay. Guests are invited to complete and submit an Guest Interest Survey. During the evening, these are collected and an itinerary and service providers are contacted to be available for guests. For example, Tour guides to Soweto or Magaliesburg. In the Foyer, there are display cards of all scenic places, and tourist attractions. The Kwa-Mkhabele Lodge Gift "Shoppe" is available at all times, personalised memorabilia is catered for. Each of our rooms are equipped with air conditioners, DSTV connection, mini fridges and telephone extensions. Soaps, towels, face cloths, gowns, slippers, cream and lotions are provided by Kwa-Mkhabele Lodge. Information about Johannesburg and places of interest and entertainment are also available in the rooms. A wide selection of mouth watering dishes are prepared by full time Chef who caters for the tastes buds of the guests, whether vegetarians or meat lovers. Special dietary and diabetic dishes are catered for, and all meat is Halaal. Always aware of "early rising movers and shakers", breakfast is provided from 06H00 - 10H00, with tasty lunch boxes or fruit packed upon request. Snacks, coffee and tea are provided for late arrivals. In true African hospitality, the Lapa invites guests to enjoy the aroma of oak log - the bonfire provides the setting for many a story or yarn to be told. There is a pleasant garden with trees and bird baths - seeders to attract local bird life. The homely, relaxing ambiance is enhanced by a solar heated 5m x 7m swimming pool which has a safety precaution net for children. Two spacious patios provide comfy lounging on summer or leather chairs. Sunny umbrella covering provides a setting for cold drinks, snacks or afternoon tea in the warm African sun. Kwa-Mkhabele Lodge Conferencing Facility, caters for 45 people cinema style. It has a big screen to cater for viewing needs. There is on-site audio visual equipment that meets modern day requirements, complete with air conditioning. Assistance is on hand to help set-up equipment, enabling presenters to focus on the event. In the spirit of co-operation, Kwa-Mkhabele Lodge collaborates with other bed and breakfast/conference providers in the South and in Soweto to cater for any overflow of guests.
