Directions from Cape Town: Take the N1 to Paarl See Directions from the N1 below From Cape Town International Airport From the airport you need to take the on-ramp onto the N2 East (Somerset West) Take the next major off-ramp off the N2 - the R300 Belville. Stay on this road all the way to the N1 on-ramps Veer Right towards Paarl Directions From the N1 Take exit 47, Stellenbosch/ Klapmuts/Wellington turnoff. Turn Right and drive towards Klapmuts (pass under the bridge) Cross over the first intersection (the R101,less than 1 km from offramp) Turn Left onto the R45/Franschhoek Road (less than 1km from the R 101 intersection). Continue along this road, passing Backsberg Wine Estate, and drive towards Franschhoek for another 4kms. Just before the railway line and T-junction, turn right into the gates of Vrede en Lust. Directions from Paarl. Head south on Main Road towards the N1 / R101 Pass under the N1 and continue west with the R101 and do not turn onto the N1 Turn Left onto the R45 Stay on this road into Simondium and slow down near the old station Turn Right onto the Klapmuts-Simondium Road, Cross the railway line and immediately turn Left into the gates of Vrede en Lust Directions from Stellenbosch. Head for the R44 North Follow the R44 North out of town and head towards Paarl / Wellington Slow down as you get close to Klapmuts Turn Right onto the R45/ Franschhoek Road continue along this road, passing Backsberg, towards Franschhoek for another 4kms. Just before the railway crossing and T-junction, turn right into the gates of Vrede-en-Lust. Directions from Franschhoek. Head North on Main Rd as it becomes the R45 towards Paarl Stay on the R45, crossing the Berg River and through Groot Drakenstein Stay on this road into Simondium and slow down past the old church Turn Left onto the Klapmuts-Simondium Road Cross the railway line and turn immediately left into the gates of Vrede en Lust
