1. TSAKANE SAFARI CAMP For arrivals after dark please call us and we will escort you from the entrance gate. The Reserve reserves the right to search your vehicle and person, please cooperate with our security staff. Please stay in your vehicle at all times and maintain a healthy distance from Elephants. Always stop beyond Elephants rather than in front of them. a. From Hoedspruit (Johannesburg / Pretoria via Dullstroom) • From Hoedspruit take the R40 to Phalaborwa • Travel for 25Km and cross the Olifants River • Travel a further 5 Km and pass Samey’s Garage on the Right and the Tzaneen turn-off on the Left (ATM available at Samey’s Garage) • A further 800m turn Right at the Reserve Entrance Gate onto a gravel road at the sign Balule Nature Reserve – Parsons Gate • Travel for approx.6Km on the gravel road until you reach a gate which you must bypass to the right. • After passing the gate turn right and follow the gravel road. • After 2Km turn left at the 1st rock pedestal and travel for 2Km • At the T-Junction turn right • After 100m turn Left • At the Tsakane pedestal turn right and follow the road to the camp b. From Tzaneen (Johannesburg / Pretoria via Polokwane) • From Tzaneen take the R526 to Witriver • Pass Gravelott (do not turn to Phalaborwa) and continue for 35Km • At the T-Junction turn left towards Phalaborwa • A further 800m turn Right at the Reserve Entrance Gate onto a gravel road at the sign Balule Nature Reserve – Parsons Gate • Travel for approx.6Km on the gravel road until you reach a gate which you must bypass to the right. • After passing the gate turn right and follow the gravel road.. • After 2Km turn left at the 1st rock pedestal and travel for 2Km • At the T-Junction turn right • After 100m turn Left • At the Tsakane pedestal turn right and follow the road to the camp
