If you are coming from Johannesburg, rather take the Kwa Kwa/Bergville road from Harrismith. Make sure you don't go through to Kwa Kwa, but turn LEFT at the first BERGVILLE turn-off. This takes you past the Sterkfontein dam (on your RIGHT) past Little Switzerland and on to Bergville. Pass Bergville on your LEFT, and on to WINTERTON. As you enter the town you will notice the R600 turning RIGHT towards the mountains. Take the R600 , and on through a cross road at which you will see the Thokozisa craft village on the left * Continue on the R600 past the Champagne Sports Resort (on your LEFT). Pass the Drakensberg Sun turn off (on your RIGHT). After about 500 m you will see the INKUNGU signboard on your LEFT. (D19) at the end of the golf course. Follow the signs from there for 2,4 Km. You will cross a single lane bridge and turn LEFT, passing the Monk's Cowl Golf Club on your LEFT. Carry on with the D19 until you see big pillared steel gates, the entrance to INKUNGU ESTATES will be on your RIGHT. Veer LEFT to Inkungu Lodge.once you have entered Inkungu Estates. To gain entrance you will need to phone the number at the gate. From Durban on the N3 you proceed to the ESCORT NORTH off-ramp. Exit 179. Turn LEFT on to the R 10 which takes through LOSKOP on to crossroads at THOKOSIZA (craft village on your LEFT) Turn LEFT here at the R600, keeping Thokozisa on your LEFT. Continue with the directions as given above from *. The alternative route is to continue past Escort on the N3, pass the ULTRA-CITY and turn LEFT at the next off-ramp and proceed to WINTERTON then follow directions as above
