Directions to HaMakuya and Tshulu Camp from Johannesburg: *Please note that Tshulu Camp is accessible by 4X4, 4X2 and high clearance vehicles like bakkies. It is difficult to access by sedan vehicle; however, guests may park their car safely at Tshulu Trust offices in Domboni and be taken to the camp at a small fee. Please arrange with Tshulu administrator, Melta Makuya. Directions to Tshulu Camp, HaMakuya, via R525/Tshipise road: Johannesburg to Tshulu Camp is approximately 680 kms and takes 7 hours. -From Johannesburg and Pretoria, take the N1 north through Polokwane and Makhado. -Continue on the N1 through Makhado towards Musina. -Travel over the Soutpansberg mountains, through the tunnels, go through the Baobab toll plaza. -Shortly thereafter, take the R525 turnoff right, east towards Tshipise and the Pafuri Gate of the Kruger National Park. -Travel for approximately 1hour on this road, past Tshipise Resort and petrol station, towards Masisi for 108kms. -In Masisi, just after the police station (on the right), take the turnoff right (south) in Masisi, signposted Thohoyandou and Sibasa. -Travelling south, go through several villages on the tar road which turns into a dirt road. -Look out for the turnoff the right (west) to Guyuni village. -The road to Tshulu Camp goes through Guyuni village. Go passed the spaza shop andprimary school on the right. -Keep going. Drive over some dry river beds. -About 15 minutesí drive from Guyuni take the signposted turnoff to the right at Tshianzwane village (do not go straight). -Follow the Tshulu Camp signs to drive around the eastern and northern side of the village homesteads. -Keep straight on the dirt road. Go through a dry river crossing with sand. -Look for the sign to TSHULU with a road that turns off left. -Go slowly as this road is stony and bumpy. -Take the signposted small turnoff to the right before the wide dry river bed, up the other side, then veer left at the Tshulu sign. -You will go up a steep bank and then the camp is 2 minutes from there
