Access by car from Gauteng Follow the N4 from Gauteng to Nelspruit, Malelane and Hectorspruit. 14.5kms after Hectorspruit and there is a sign that says Ngwenya Lodge – Turn left and follow the road for 7.5kms (Dirt Road). Turn right and follow the road for another 3.6kms. Enter at the Ngwenya Lodge Gate on your left hand side. Check in at Reception and they will explain how to get to Hippo Hills – Unit HB51. Total drive time is around 4.5hrs without stopping. Access by air There are daily flights (Nationwide, Inter-Air and SA Airlink) between Johannesburg (OR Tambo International Airport) and Cape Town to Kruger Mpumulanga International Airport (KMIA) just outside Nelspruit. Car hire facilities (Avis, Imperial, Hertz) are available. The drive time from here to Hippo Hills is about 60 minutes.
