From Johannesburg/Pretoria: Take the N12/N4 motorway eastward in the direction of Witbank Take the R33 towards Belfast. From there head for Lydenburg (Mashisheng) on the R36 via Dullstroom. After Lydenburg continue on the R36 in the direction of Ohrigstad/Tzaneen. Negotiate the Abel Erasmus Pass (drive carefully!) After the Strydom tunnel DO NOT take a left as the R36 continues on to Tzaneen, instead, follow the R527 towards Hoedspruit. Pass the Blyde River shopping Centre on your left and continue for approximately another 1km. At the Khamai Reptile Park T-Junction (on your left) turn right into the R531 towards Orpen/Swadini. Travel on the R531 for approximately 15km, passing the Swadini turn-off on your right, untill you get to the small village of Kampersurs. Turn right into the village and proceed towards the mountain. Look out for the Amafu Forest Lodge sign on your right as the road make a turn to the left. From Nelspruit: Travel towards White River, Hazyview, Bushbuckridge and Acornhoek. Pass Klaserie Road (R40 T junction on your right) and proceed until you find Kampersrus on your left. Turn left into the village, and proceed towards the mountain.
