To get there, you travel on the R62. Coming from Ladismith, the turnoff to Matjiesvlei is 40km from Ladismith. Coming from Oudtshoorn through Calitzdorp, the turnoff to Matjiesvlei is 5.6km from Calitzdorp. The turnoff is clearly marked. GPS: S 33 29.767; E 21 38.925 Once on the gravel road, you carry on for 7km untill you get to a T-junction. GPS: S 33 26.878; E 21 38.845 Once on the gravel road, switch off your cell phones, there is no reception. Press in your speedometer button. On 4,1 km you will find a big rock, with yellow wording, indicating a left turn. Do NOT turn left, that is not the road to Matjiesvlei Cottages. Continue until on 7 km you get 2 houses in front of you. For Bokwagtershuis and Die Stalle: Turn right. After 300 m you will find the gates to their entrances. Use the gate to the right of the sign for Die Bokwagtershuis GPS: S 33 26.861; E 21 39.070,and use the gate to the left of the sign for Die Stalle GPS: 33° 26' 49.13" South 21° 39' 5.35" East For Middelplaas and Die Skuur: Turn left. After 3 km you will find Die Skuur on your right, and after another 100 m you will find Middelplaas on your left. GPS: S 33 26.564; E 21 37.887
