Directions from Johannesburg to Blyde Mountain Country House: If you are coming from Johannesburg /Pretoria take the N4 Motorway eastwards towards Middelburg and get off the motorway at Belfast and head for Lydenburg via Dullstroom. Continue on the R36 from Lydenburg and negotiate the Abel Erasmus pass, but after Strydom tunnel please DON'T take a left on the R36 to Tzaneen, but instead carry straight on the R531 in the direction of Hoedspruit. At the Khamai Reptile Park T-Junction, take a right turn as you stay on the R531 (towards Orpen)for 600m and our driveway is on the right hand side of the road. Directions from Eastgate Hoedspruit Air(25KM) Out of Eastgate Airport make a right towards Hoedspruit town. At the T-junction make a right on to the R40 towards Hoedspruit. As you get to Hoedspruit you will get to the first 4-way stop, you pass the first stop and as you get to the second 4-way stop you make a left turn into Hoedspruit town. Keep going until the third 4-way stop and drive straight through town towards Lydenburg on R527. +/- 15km outside of Hoedspruit you will see the R531 Orpen road on your left hand side (Khumai Reptile park on right hand side). Turn left at T-junction onto R531. 600m on your right hand side is our entrance. Big white board on blue painted wall. Blyde Mountain will be on your left hand side. Directions from Cheetah project to Blyde Mountain Coming out of Kapama make a left onto tar road towards Klaserie. At the T-junction make a right onto the R531 towards Lydenburg. +/- 26 km on Blyde Mountain will be on your left hand side. Directions from Orpen From Orpen Gate go straight for about 20-30km until you reach a T-junction. Turn right onto the R40 in the Hoedspruit/Tzaneen direction for 31km. DO NOT TURN OFF THIS ROAD when you see the Hoedspruit Turn-off continue straight on. You are now on the R532 (its not indicated ). After about 10km you will see a sign for Swadini on your left. Keep going straight shortly after Swadini sign you will see the first Blyde Mountain 10km sign on the left hand side of the road. After about 7km you will find another T-junction towards Hoedspruit (ignore that too). Keep going until you see The Angling Club. About 600m from there on your left, the same entrance as Otters Den. Directions from Lydenburg From Lydenburg drive in direction of Ohrigstad and negotiate the Abel Erasmaus pass, but after the Strydom tunnel please DO NOT TAKE A LEFT ON THR R36 to Tzaneen, but instead carry straight on the R531 in the directions of Hoedspruit. At the Khamai Reptile Park T-junction, take a right turn as you stay on the R531 (towards Orpen ) for 600m and our driveway is on your right hand side Directions from Phalaborwa to Blyde Mountain : Follow the R40 towards Mica/Hoedspruit. Pass Mica and head towards Hoedspruit. As you get to Hoedspruit you will get to the first 4-way stop. Turn right into Hoespruittown. Drive straight through town towards Lydenburg (R527). +/-16km outside of Hoedspruit you will see the R531, Orpen road on your left hand side, the khamai Reptile Park will be on your right hand side. Turn left onto Orpen road (R531) 600m down turn right into our entrance there will be a big blue rock wall with a white board Blyde Mountain turn right and go straight. Directions from Tzaneen to Blyde Mountain: Take the R36 towards Hoedspruit. Turn Left on the R527, 17km onwards at the Khamai Reptile park turn right onto the R531(Orpen Road). 600m after turn off Blyde Mountain will be on your right hand side. Turn right onto gravel road and keep straight. Directions from Polokwane to Blyde Mountain : Take the R71 from Polokwane towards Tzaneen. Drive into Tzaneen and take the R36 towards Hoedspruit. Turn left on the R527, 17 km onwards at the Khamai Reptile park turn right onto the R531(Orpen Road). 600m after turn off Blyde Mountain will be on your right hand side. Turn right onto gravel road and keep straight. Directions Form Graskop to Blyde Mountain: Take the R532 direction North. At the T-junction with the R36 take a right and negotiate to the Abel Erasmus pass, but after the Strydom Tunnel Please DO NOT take a left on the R36 to Tzaneen. But instead carry on straight on the R531 in the direction towards Hoedspruit . At the Khamai Reptile Park T-junction turn right as you stay on the R531(Orpen Road )for 600m onwards our driveway will be on your Right Hand side. Turn on gravel road.
