How to get there: Travessia Beach Lodge is in the South of Mozambique, about 60km north of Inhambane, as the crow flies. Daily flights from Johannesburg with LAM, Mozambique's local air carrier, get you to Inhambane in less than two hours. International travellers may also fly to Maputo and take a LAM connection to Inhambane from there. We provide transfers from Inhambane to Travessia which takes approximately 100 minutes or less, if you take the ferry across the lagoon. To travellers from South Africa who like to combine a safari in the Kruger Park with a trip to us, we recommend staying over in Nelspruit before entering Mozambique. From Nelspruit to Travessia is a scenic day's drive. There are a few options to overnight in between. Once you turn off the National Road to get to us, it is 6km dirt/sand road of which the last few hundred meters before reaching the lodge is a 4×4 track.
