Travelling East on the N2 from Cape Town to Heidelberg: Shortly after Swellendam take the R324 turn off towards Barrydale / Suurbraak. Drive through Suurbraak and continue on the R322 (do not take the Barrydale turnoff). The road will change to a dirt road. Follow the Cape Nature signs to Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve. When the dirt road splits, keep left. At the following junction, turn left. When the dirt road splits again, keep left and follow road to the end and enter the Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve gates. Call BRACKENHILLS to notify your arrival on Turn Right and follow the road keeping right as the road goes down into the valley and back up to the BRACKENHILLS entrance gate. Travelling West on the N2 from George to Swellendam: Turn off the N2 at Heidelberg and drive through the town towards Barrydale on the R322. The road will change to a dirt road. Keep right when the road splits and follow the Cape Nature signs to Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve. When the dirt road splits again, keep left and follow the dirt road to the end and enter the Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve gates. Call BRACKENHILLS to notify your arrival. Turn Right and follow the road keeping right as the road goes down into the valley and back up to the BRACKENHILLS entrance gate.
