Note: We strongly recommend using a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle (SUV or pickup) to reach the lodge, as the road is remote and off the beaten path. Directions to Buccara Waterberg - Molapo from Johannesburg: - Take the M1 North from Johannesburg. - After passing through Midrand, take the offramp left to Polokwane (Pietersburg). - From O R Tambo, take the R21 north to Pretoria and take the Pw and take the Polokwane turnoff. - After passing through 2 tolls and after about 140km, at the Kranskop toll gate, turn left to Modimolle (Nylstroom). - Go through Nylstroom to Vaalwater (about 70km) - Drive through Vaalwater and turn right at the Spar/Total garage where the R33 branches off right to Ellisras (Lephalale). - Please contact the lodge when you leave Vaalwater, so that they know when to expect you (and send someone to meet you if you are delayed). - After 33.4 km, turn right off the tar and on to a gravel road towards Visgat. - After 10.8 km, at T-junction, turn left. Carry on with this road (ignore the road branching off to the right sign-posted Sukses). - After 24.1 km, turn left towards Georgetown (there is a Cape Dutch house on the left left). - After 9.1 km turn left into Molapo Entrance gate. After this there is one more gate and from this gate it is about 1.5km to the lodge.
