Accommodation near Harding Golf Club

The Harding Golf Club is located in the town of Harding, a small settlement situated in the Mzimkulwane River Valley in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.

A 25 kilometre drive inland from Port Shepstone, the 9-hole Harding golf course is rated a par 71. The course was built in the 1920's and comprises bent grass on the greens and kikuyu grass on the fairways. The course is characterised by its wide fairways and well-established trees, which provide a tranquil, aesthetically pleasing setting in which to complete a round of golf. Its 9 holes can be played alternatively to complete a full 18 holed round.

The Harding Golf Club offers a driving range for you to practice and perfect your swing, as well as a pro shop with an in-house professional offering lessons and assistance in getting you kitted out. The halfway house offers snacks and refreshments where you can relax and socialise.

It is open on Mondays and is inviting to members and visitors alike. The dress code for the Harding Golf Club for both the clubhouse and the greens is 'smart casual', ensuring comfort for golfers and clubhouse socialites.

The town of Harding is known for dairy farming and was established as a military outpost after the British took East Griqualand in 1873. It was named after Natal's first chief of justice, Sir Walter Harding. There is an 87 kilometre long, narrow-gauge railway linking the farming town of Harding to Port Shepstone.

Kokstad Reviews

Very happy with Kokstad, better than expected
- Ken Grobler

I was too cold to look around the town. We fed my little grandson at a friendly Spur & went directly to the farm to warm up. We travelled on the R56 all the way from East London to Maclear & then through to Kokstad & apart from the road works the road was in good condition & the drive was scenic.
- Rose Campbell
