Accommodation near Llandudno Beach - 3
Llandudno Beach is a 200m stretch of golden sand situated in the coastal town of Llandudno on the Atlantic Seaboard.
The beach is framed by natural bush and large granite boulders and large fancy houses perch on the cliffs overlooking the sea. The cold sea water and a strong current means that visitors won't have much more than a quick dip to cool off. Although you will find a surfer or two, Llandudno is more popular for sunbathing and sundowners (non alcoholic only).
The beach has Blue Flag status and it's not hard to see why. The Llandudno Surf Lifesaving Club kindly volunteers their services every day during Blue Flag Season. There are ablution facilities close to the parking lot and a lone shower to rinse the sand off or have a cool down if you can't bare the icy sea water. Vendors roam the beach selling snacks and cooldrinks during the busy Summer season.
The curve of the beach and the boulders provide shelter from the Cape winds and the beach is generally not too overcrowded due to the lack of parking space. If you are travelling to the beach in a car, it's best to arrive early as the small parking lot can only take 35 cars.
