Randfontein Show 2020
The Randfontein Show 2020 is a four-day event of food, fun and top-notch entertainment suitable for the whole family. This show, which is in its 34th year of running, invites all Randfontein-ers to celebrate the West Rand's biggest food and music festival!
The show began in 1987 and was a way to provide safe, family-fun entertainment, ensuring that a little bit of something is enjoyed by all attendees. For the music lovers, the country's top performers will be making an appearance on stage.
If you're not there for the music, there are a number of activities such as the Dog Shows, Camel Rides, Champions Pro Wrestling, Chaos Strongman Show (with public participation), a KidZone with an interactive mobile zoo, Tjiff & Tjaff, a dramatic air show by the Flying Lions Aerobatic Team, Battle of the Mascots, a host of funfair rides and the exhilarating Sky Flyer.
But that’s not all! The annual events kicks off with a brand new “Afskop” Party on Thursday, 5 March with Die Campbells, Kurt Darren, Dirk van der Westhuizen, Petro de Villiers (The Voice) Vincent Gordon and Sgoob Kwela. Prizes for the best “dancing” couple, lucky draws and loads of fun.
Other performances over the four-day period include Demi-Lee Moore, Robbie Wessels, Theuns Jordaan, Jay, Willem Botha, Lee Scott, Die Wildberries, Juan Boucher and Fatman to name but a few. Bands include Speogwolf, Saarkie Rock Band, Bob Ffole and Hennie De Bruyn Kitaarkêrels.
