The lodge is idyllically situated on the east bank of the Kafue River in Kafue National Park. This is still part of untamed Africa and has the greatest species diversity in Zambia. The lodge is about a 4 hour drive from Lusaka or you can fly in to our own airstrip. The lodge is accessible all year. Hippo Lodge is a unique owner-run safari camp managed by Bruce Whitfield, one of the most knowledgeable people on the Kafue's wildlife. He and his team will make your stay unforgettable. As you will be part of a group of no more than 16 people you will be able to benefit from your host's personal attention and knowledge of the region.
